How to use

How exact-size compression works

PDF size mostly comes from images. ZIYNU samples a few pages to predict the resolution and JPEG quality needed for your target, builds the whole file, checks the real size and steps down if it's still too big. You see the final size before you download, and the tool tells you honestly if the target couldn't be reached while staying readable.

Text-only PDFs are often already small. If yours is well over the limit, it probably contains full-page scans or photos — exactly what scan mode is designed for.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. ZIYNU's PDF tools run in your browser using your device's processor. The file is opened locally and the result is created on your device, so documents such as CNIC scans, degrees and contracts never leave it.

Why is my result slightly under 100 KB rather than exactly 100 KB?

Compression works in steps, so the file lands at or just under the limit — which is what upload forms require.

Will the PDF still be readable?

For typical documents, yes. If the target is very small for the number of pages, the tool warns you when it had to use a low resolution.

Why won't my password-protected PDF work?

Encrypted PDFs can be read but not changed without removing the protection. Open the file in the software that created it, remove the password or restrictions, save it, and try again.
