Many upload portals reject PDFs larger than 200 KB. This tool first tries a lossless clean-up that keeps your text selectable, and only if that isn't enough converts pages into optimised images, choosing the highest quality that fits under 200 KB.
How to use
- Choose your PDF.
- Keep “Maximum compression” selected (or pick “Keep text selectable” for a lossless attempt only).
- Tick “black & white” for text documents to save more space.
- Press Compress and download the PDF under 200 KB.
Example
A 4-page scanned application of 3.2 MB usually reaches 200 KB in scan mode at around 100–150 DPI, which keeps printed text easy to read. 200 KB is a typical limit for university admission and government recruitment forms.
How exact-size compression works
PDF size mostly comes from images. ZIYNU samples a few pages to predict the resolution and JPEG quality needed for your target, builds the whole file, checks the real size and steps down if it's still too big. You see the final size before you download, and the tool tells you honestly if the target couldn't be reached while staying readable.
Text-only PDFs are often already small. If yours is well over the limit, it probably contains full-page scans or photos — exactly what scan mode is designed for.
