Good to know

  • Cleaning doesn't change visible text or images. Redacting visible content is a different task.
  • Removing comments also removes links; form fields are kept so forms still work.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. ZIYNU's PDF tools run in your browser using your device's processor. The file is opened locally and the result is created on your device, so documents such as CNIC scans, degrees and contracts never leave it.

Is the cleaned PDF completely anonymous?

It removes the metadata, scripts, attachments and annotations ZIYNU detects. It can't guarantee that no other hidden data exists, and visible content may still identify you.

Why does my PDF contain my name?

Word and many other apps copy your account name into the Author field automatically.

Why won't my password-protected PDF work?

Encrypted PDFs can be read but not changed without removing the protection. Open the file in the software that created it, remove the password or restrictions, save it, and try again.
