PDF Inspector

Every technical detail of a PDF, explained.

PDF Inspector shows what's inside a PDF: version, page sizes and boxes, fonts, image resolution and colour spaces, metadata, security settings, annotations and forms — with short explanations so the technical terms make sense.

How to use

  1. Choose a PDF.
  2. Browse the sections: Document, Pages, Fonts, Images, Security and Print.
  3. Download the text report if you need to share the details.

MediaBox, CropBox, TrimBox and BleedBox

MediaBox is the full sheet. CropBox is the area viewers display. TrimBox is the final size after cutting, and BleedBox is the area including artwork that runs past the cut. Print shops usually need TrimBox and BleedBox set correctly; office documents rarely have them.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. ZIYNU's PDF tools run in your browser using your device's processor. The file is opened locally and the result is created on your device, so documents such as CNIC scans, degrees and contracts never leave it.

What PDF version should I use?

Most documents work in any version from 1.4 up. Some print workflows require PDF/X, which is a separate standard that Inspector doesn't validate.

Why does it say a font is a subset?

Subset fonts contain only the characters used in the document. That's normal and keeps the file small.

Does Inspector change my file?

No, it only reads it.
