How to use

Getting a photo that's accepted
Stand about a metre from a plain wall, facing a window or soft light so there are no shadows on your face or behind you. Keep a neutral expression with your mouth closed, look straight at the camera and remove glasses unless the rules allow them. Ask someone else to take the photo from head height — selfies distort the face.
Most authorities require a recent photo, a plain light background and your full head visible, from chin to the top of the hair. Exact rules on background colour, head size and file size vary, so always check the official page linked under the size.
Printing the sheet
Sheets are generated at 300 DPI. Print at “actual size” or 100% — never “fit to page” — and the photos will come out at the right physical size. 4×6 inch paper is the standard photo-shop size and costs little to print.
Good to know
- Size presets are marked as needing verification until they have been checked against each official source. Always confirm current rules before submitting.
- ZIYNU doesn't change your background or face. If a background isn't plain, retake the photo rather than editing it.
